Nova Gorica is an attractive city in two countries, offering numerous indoor and outdoor event venues in all seasons. It invites with sights and views of the picturesque, authentic surroundings, and the mild climate and diverse scenery offer very good conditions for a variety of sports and recreational activities. Nova Gorica is a town of opportunities, with two entertainment centres and several casinos with the most modern equipment inviting you to play and have fun. Additionally, the town is the home of the University of Nova Gorica with seven faculties and a special focus on research.
The green and wine-growing Vipava valley stretches out to the East of the town. These nice places are the home of great wines, also of the unique varieties, which are best combined with tasty local dishes. To the northeast, a marvellous world with a completely different climate opens up, full of folk traditions and natural attractions that enrich the sport of hiking in a special way. Lovers of peace will be impressed by the widespread Trnovo Forest which invites you to take biking paths and hiking trails where you can get to know rich flora and fauna.
Conference facilities
Nova Gorica offers a variety of congress, conference and symposium venues, customized to your liking. The providers include restaurants and hotels, most of which are in the capacity of the Hit Group or the Trade and Cultural Center. The venues with modern technical equipment accommodate between 15 and 364 visitors.
For unusual adventures, outdoor or indoor custom events can be organized in the city. Alternative venues are available in the form of city squares, the arena at the Perla Resort, the parking lot of Hotel Park or the halls of the Slovenian National Theatre in Nova Gorica.
Accommodation facilities
There are nine hotels in Nova Gorica that offer 411 rooms or 1.001 beds in total. Together with the student dormitory and the Presta Hostel, there are 1.557 beds. All accommodations are relatively close to downtown and all congress venues.
