LJUBLJANA

EuroPrevent is the annual congress of the European Association of Preventive Cardiology, where leading experts get together to share knowledge of cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation for cardiologists, allied health professionals, general practitioners, basic scientists, young researchers and policymakers. Cankarjev dom Cultural and Congress Centre was visited by more than 1.200 healthcare professionals from more than 40 countries who participated in the scientific exchange of 800 abstracts and submitted clinical cases.

I would definitely recommend Cankarjev dom to other congress organisers as it is a guarantee of success. Our first congress was very successful, and we feel that people will not get bored to return or discover the destination every 3 years. We also know that we have space for growth which is important as the congress is expanding year after year

The Three Seas Initiative 2019 at GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre was the largest political and business event in independent Slovenia. The event promoted the initiative encouraging institutions and private investors to support the three seas situated amidst the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Sea in their endeavours for energy, traffic and digital infrastructure. The invitation of the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor was accepted by nine foreign presidents, the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the United States Secretary of Energy Rick Perry.

With the help of GR-Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre we managed to provide a location in the centre of Ljubljana, which largely contributed to the successful execution of the event. The entire staff and technical team were professional and the setting of the hall, where the majority of the event took place, was exquisite.

MARIBOR

In April 2019 motorcycle paramedics from Slovenia organized the 6th International IMRUA Congress (International Fire and EMS Motorcycle Response Unit Association). The Congress was attended by EMTs, nurses, paramedics, doctors and firefighters on a motorcycle from all over the world. The event was held at the City Hotel in Maribor, which can accommodate up to 200 conference participants.

When organizing the 2019 IMRUA congress we were aware that we would receive a large number of foreign participants and therefore had to find an appropriate congress centre. We decided to host our event at the City Hotel in Maribor, which turned out to be an excellent decision. Our congress was extremely successful, in a large part due to the professionalism of the hotel staff.

NOVA GORICA

The 17th edition of INFOSEK 2019, the largest event in Slovenia in the field of information security, took place between 27th and 29th November in Hotel Perla. The conference offered its 650 participants the opportunity to get acquainted with the latest trends and insights that information security brings, both in the Slovenian and wider European space.

Perla, Resort & Entertainment is an excellent venue for organizing a larger international conference such as INFOSEK. Our colleagues from their conference centre have been offering us professional services at the highest level for 17 years. We appreciate the effort they pour into the organizing of our conference and it is one of the reasons for such a large number of participants at INFOSEK.

The World Curling Association Congress of 2018 took place in Bled, connecting the representatives of national curling associations from all over the world. For six days, more than 160 attendees took part in various meetings and general assemblies in the congress halls of Hotel Golf (now Rikli Balance Hotel). The staff of Sava Hotels Bled functioned as hosts and facilitators, successfully connecting the World Curling Association with various tourist providers in Bled and the local authorities.

The World Curling Association Congress was one of the events that will forever stay in my memory, especially due to the good energy and the organizers, who were so intensely involved in the entire candidacy and the event. Truly outstanding hosts!

Secretary-General at the Curling Association of Slovenia

Bled Strategic Forum 2018 with the overarching theme of Bridging the Divide attempted to shed light on some of the topics that seem to divide us. Over 1.000 attendees from more than 60 countries engaged in talks about the challenges, and different perspectives and concerns, and then proceeded with think about how to find constructive and consensual ways forward. The three-day event took place in Bled in Hotel Golf (now Rikli Balance Hotel), which has the largest congress space offering in Bled.

Bled has been home to the Bled Strategic Forum since its inception 12 years ago, providing, on the one hand, a symbolic, famous and world-renowned Slovenian location, and on the other an environment that is far from the everyday hustle and bustle. Our participants have the possibility to focus entirely on the discussions and the issues that we expect to address in Bled. Bled is an appropriate, logical and correct location for the organisation of this type of event and the local community has welcomed us very well during these years.
