Portorož, business meetings with a sea view

Portorož is the most important tourist centre of Slovenian Istria with more than 100 years of tradition. In addition to many accommodation facilities, the city also boasts spas, wellness centres, casinos and convention centres. It is enriched by the scent of a genuine Mediterranean landscape with air filled with negative ions, stimulating brain activity and delicious local cuisine, which provides energy during a diverse conference event.

Portorož offers an ideal environment for various business meetings. Outdoor venues with stunning sea views and locations infused with tradition are just a few steps away. The state-of-the-art congress centres are an excellent choice for organizing congresses or seminars, and the Mediterranean environment and healthy sea air enable you to properly relax after the official commitments.

Grand hotel Bernardin houses the largest hotel congress hall in Slovenia, which can host up to 1.100 visitors. About the Portorož Tourist Board

The Portorož Tourist Board is the decisive co-designer of the development of a quality and competitive tourist offer at the destination with the mission of promoting Portorož as a tourist destination. Through its integrative and coordinating role and function, it ensures the balanced implementation of tourism activities, both operationally and in marketing and development. They are focusing on the MICE segment, which is of particular importance for the destination, mainly due to the destination’s seasonality. They co-operate with the Slovenian Tourist Board and are members of the Slovenian Convention Bureau, and most MICE activities take place within these co-operations.

The Portorož Tourist Board includes many local partners who participate in congress activities at the destination. These are mainly hotels with conference facilities, travel agencies – DMC, PCO (professional congress organizers), companies offering catering services, catering establishments, transport companies and the Portorož Airport. Through excellent collaboration and assistance from the destination organizer, they can host events with more than 20.000 visitors.
